COVID BOOSTERS UPDATE MONDAY 13TH DECEMBER 2021
We have agreed to provide regular additional COVID booster clinics across our Primary Care Network from January 2022, in an effort to support patients who are unable to travel to the mass vaccination centres.
However, we are fully aware that the Prime Minister announced some changes to the timetable last evening. We are yet to receive official guidance, so we currently only know what you know.
PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE THE SURGERY to ask to book a COVID booster appointment as we don’t know when the vaccine deliveries will be made so are unable to make clinic plans at present. Please wait for us to contact you.
Our phone lines must remain open and available to our patients who have urgent health needs.
Thank you very much for your continued patience and support through these changing times. Tracey Worley, Practice Manager
***** If you are asked to attend the surgery please wear a face mask or covering *****
As per national guidance, if you have a new continuous cough or a high temperature (37.8 degrees centigrade or higher) OR loss of/change in smell or taste, please stay at home (self-isolate) for 10 days. (See NHS website for full guidance).
Access to the surgery and appointments:
Our practice has been using telephone and online consultations for a number of years. This meant we were in a good position to respond when the pandemic started and we were able to safely implement a remote service for our patients and limit exposure to the virus.
Anyone who needs to be seen face to face has always been able to be seen, and this will continue.
Prescription requests can be sent direct to your chosen pharmacy.
The online appointment booking service has currently been suspended.
Please DO NOT order your medication early or ask for extra quantities. We continue to work with the local pharmacies to ensure your prescription is ready on time. Any additional requests will add pressure to the system and may result in a delay. Thank you.
